Up till now water has been collected from roofs and delivered by tanker when necessary but the Children's Centre really needs its own water source to provide running water to the newly built toilet block and nursery. Water has been found after digging by hand to depth of around 150'. The walls of the borehole are being brick lined and then the next stages are:
1) Purchase of water pump, connections, water tank and water stand.
2) Construction of soak pit for newly-built toilet block (for staff and primary school girls and boys).
3) Construction of soak pit for the newly-built nursery that has its own toilets and showers.
4) Construction of concrete slab with door and small building over the borehole for safety.
Total cost is £7,500 ($11,700) of which half has already been raised.
