Sozo High School
Building work began on Sozo High School at the beginning of 2012. The school is located on land near to the farming project, approx 40 miles from the Children's Centre.
Initially it catered for the first 3 years of secondary education but from 2014 the school offered study to 'O' level and in 2015 some students have continued to 'A' level studies.
The school has temporary wooden classrooms and dormitories. Solar panels have been installed to supply electricity and lighting.
Work has begun on building permanent brick buildings. The accommodation/dormitory block is built to roof level and the roof was recently added. Foundations are being laid for classrooms and staff rooms.
Sozo High and the farming projects are already beginning to transform the area. There are 5 primary schools in the area but the nearest secondary school is 5kms walk away. Many local families want their children to attend Sozo High as day pupils.
