Stephen Jota Children's Centre Projects "Transforming Communities"
Kyeyitabya is an 100 acre site situated 60km from the Children's Centre.
The maize mill and brick making works are nearby and Sozo High School about 5km away.
The picture shows the entrance and main house. On the land is a natural water source with plans for a system to pump the water into tanks and distribute to the farm and local community.
The main crops grown are maize, potatoes, cassava, sugarcane, gnuts, bananas and mangoes. Pictures below show some of this year's crop of sugarcane and coffee. Herbs and plants such as aloe vera grow naturally and are much in demand in the markets of Kampala. An entire hill has been designated to bee-keeping using locally made bee hives.
The future plan is to be in a position to supply all the food necessary for the Children's Centre, Sozo High School and to sell maize commercially to other organisations.

"If we don't show the children love they will never know in the whole world that there is anything called love. That's why I want to build the Children's Centre to show the love of God to the children in our country." Stephen Jota, Uganda.
